Bell CH-118
Iroquois

Back

10 Iroquois were purchased in 1968 to provide light aviation support to the Canadian Army. They were also put into use by the air force for various roles.

Towards the end of its stay in the Canadian Armed Forces aircraft inventory, the CH-118 Iroquois was used for Transport and Search-and-Rescue roles at fighter bases across Canada. They were also used in Moose Jaw, which was the operational training base for the 118's in a rescue role. They were phased out by February of 1998 by the entry of the CH-146 Griffon.
